Calendar of Events - Event View

This class is specifically designed and structured for shooters of all skill levels, including those who have limited experience with semi-automatic, carbine-style rifles.  Topics covered include safety, basic marksmanship fundamentals, common stoppage/malfunction identification and clearing, ready positions, shooting positions, target identification, and multiple target engagement.

Items required for this course:

• Semi-Automatic rifle
  • Can be of any caliber, including the Pistol Caliber Carbines (9mm, 22LR, etc.).
  • Can be a “pistol” variant of a rifle platform (AR Pistol, etc.).
  • Sling is REQUIRED.
• 3 magazines (or more)
  • Magazine holster required.
• Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI)
• 500 rounds of ammunition
• Eye protection, hearing protection, hat
• Proper attire to accommodate weather
  • Training sneakers, boots, rain gear, jacket, gloves, etc.
• Tools specific to your firearm, optic, and/or accessories
• Water/Gatorade, Lunch, and Snacks

Suggested additional items:

• Cleaning kit (cleaning rod, bore snake, etc.)
• CLP or lubricant of choice
• ‘Dummy’ ammunition (Inert training rounds)
• Magazine loaders
• Notepad and pencil
