South Carolina Concealed Carry Course
This class is required by South Carolina in order to obtain your Training Certificate required to apply for a Concealed Carry Handgun Permit. It is comprised of an 8 hour mandatory classroom training with additional time on the range for practical shooting. When registering you must specify your name as it appears on your South Carolina Drivers License.
NOTE: There will be a written exam on the content of the course along with a shooting evaluation. Students must pass in order to receive their certification.

This South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit class has been developed to go above and beyond state mandated standards to ensure students have the information needed to keep up with the ever-changing world and environment. This class includes lectures, practical demonstrations, videos, and interactive portions. Folks from all backgrounds and knowledge, skill, and comfort levels can learn and grow during this class.
The classroom portion is expected to take approximately 4 hours (including break and lunch times). Once we have completed the classroom portion, we will move to the range where we will begin the shooting qualification. This duration will vary with class size but is expected to last approximately 2 hours.

Requirements for this class:

Students shall already know how to safely operate, load, unload, draw, and use their firearm.

Students will be required to take and pass a 50-question written test with a score of 70% or better.

Students will be required to take and pass a 50-round course of fire with a score of 70% or better.
Items to bring for this class:

A handgun that is functioning properly.

50 rounds of ammunition for your handgun (minimum).

A holster that holds your handgun securely when turned upside-down.

Adequate eye and hearing protection.

Proper attire for a shooting environment.

Tools specific to your firearm, optic, holster, and/or accessories.

Food, snacks, water, beverages, etc.

Pen/Pencil and paper.

Driver’s License.
