BASIC HANDGUN SAFETY & HANDGUN FAMILIARIZATION COURSE
This course is offered as a public service by CR&PC and its membership.
This is an introductory level safety course, designed to teach those who have recently purchased,
or are considering the purchase of a handgun, the basic safety rules and procedures required
in the safe use and operation of a handgun. This course is designed to familiarize you with
the different action types and styles of currently available handguns and the safety procedures
required with each type. We will also help those who have already purchased guns to become
familiar with the proper use and operation of their handgun.
There is no charge for this course. If you own a gun you may bring it along with one box of ammo.
If you plan to use one of our guns, please bring one box of ammunition. You will need one box
of ".38 Special" new ammunition (target / practice load).
Must be at least 21 years old to shoot and provide a Valid Driver's License and must be able to
meet the legal requirements to purchase a handgun in North Carolina or South Carolina.
This course will be held at the CR&PC indoor range in Stallings, N.C

DIRECTIONS TO INDOOR RANGE
The INDOOR range location is approximately 3 miles east of downtown Charlotte near the junction of I-485 and highway 74.
From Charlotte
Drive east on Independence Blvd (which is highway 74) until you cross the intersection of I-485 and highway 74. Get into the left lane and take the second median crossing on the left. This is just past the Northern Tools building on the left and Hinson's Drive In on the right. You will be entering the McGee parking lot. Take a right at the first road just as you enter the parking lot. The range building is on the right within 1/4 mile. It has a dull red roof and matching door. On the door are the words "CRPC, Inc." and number "12833".
From Monroe
Drive West on highway 74 towards Charlotte until you pass the Smile gas station on the left. Continue on highway 74 and turn right into the McGee parking lot. Take a right at the first road just as you enter the parking lot. The range building is on the right within 1/4 mile. It has a dull red roof and matching door. On the door are the words "CRPC, Inc." and number "12833".
