If you arrive late and wish to shoot an 1800, you can shoot your choice of gun during the Center Fire and .45 matches (See eligibility requirements below)

PROGRAM

 

NRA 2700 Precision Pistol Match (.22 / CF / .45)

Unclassified and temporarily classified or Junior competitors may shoot a .22 in all matches.

 

ELIGIBILITY

  

  • Open to all CRPC members.
  • Open to all Non-member competitors with a “CRPC Non-member Competitor Card”.  Non-member competitors will sign a waiver prior to each match.
  • Proof from the NRA, or other organizations, testing to a level of proficiency shall be accepted in order to obtain a "CRPC Non-member Competitor Card."  In the absence of recognized credentials, the match director will require the competitor to shoot a to-be-determined course of fire (i.e., sighter target, etc.).  This will be conducted no later than 30 minutes before the match begins.  No exceptions!
  • A list of "CRPC Non-member Competitor Cardholders" will be kept in the clubhouse in order to verify any competitor who presents without a card.
  • NRA membership is not required but is encouraged.


ENTRY FEE

 

Package entry is $25 per 2700 match.  Individual entry is $10 per 900 match.

Unclassified and temporarily classified or Junior competitors may shoot a .22 in all matches.

 

ENTRIES

 

Limited to range capacity (35 competitors maximum).   Entries close at the end of the preparation period.

 

SCORING

 

All strings of fire will be scored after TEN shots. Competitors will score, repair and replace targets. Competitors may use an overlay to determine shot value. Plug type gauges may be used by match officials only.

 

CHALLENGE

 

NRA Pistol Rules Section 16. Fee is $1 per challenge, returnable if upheld.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

  

SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT. There will be strict adherence to range safety and range officer commands at all times.

One half hour lunch break between center fire and 45 matches. Bring a lunch.

 

Men’s and women’s bathrooms are located in the CRPC clubhouse.

 

ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED.

Match #7:    Center Fire National Match Course, 30 shots B8, B6

Match #8:    Center Fire Timed Fire, 20 shots, 25 yards Target B8

Match #9:    Center Fire Rapid Fire, 20 shots, 25 yards Target B8

Match #10:    Center Fire Aggregate of Matches 6, 7, 8, and 9

Match #11    45 Cal Slow Fire, 20 Shots, 50 yards   Target B6

Match #12:    45 Cal National Match Course, 30 shots B6, B8

Match #13    45 Cal Timed fire, 20 shots, 25 yards Target B8

Match #15:    45 Cal Aggregate of Matches 11,12,13,14             

Match #16:    Grand Aggregate of Matches 5, 10, and 15

     

Awards

 

NRA award points will be awarded to the open winner and in each aggregate to the competitor with the highest score. Award points will be given to the first place and second place competitor in each class having (3) three or more competitors.

 

Less than three (3) competitors in a class will be included in the next higher classification.

MATCH FEATURES

 

Tournament results will be printed and posted on the CRPC web site after the match.   Shooters will receive the match results via an email attachment.

 

Shooters who have competed at Charlotte within the last couple of seasons don’t have to fill out their SR-1 (entry) cards!  Just let us know if your address or classification has changed.  Once you shoot with us, we’ll keep your info on file for future matches.

 
Practice “ball” matches will be held after the 2700 for those shooters working toward the distinguished badge.  This will be an unofficial NMC, so you can shoot any gun, but it is intended for iron sighted pistols and ball practice.
 
Pictures will be taken, especially of the good targets, and posted to the CR&PC web site where you can view and download them if you wish.  
 

Nearby Hotels/Accommodations


The direction from which you are travelling will determine which hotels are most convenient for you.  In general, hotels in Matthews, NC or Pineville, NC will be convenient to the range.  If travelling from SC, Rock Hill may be convenient for you.
   

Numerous other motels/hotels are located on Independence Blvd in Matthews, on Hwy 51in Pineville and at the Arrowhead Dr Exit on I-77.
